Bedford Twp., Michigan (WTVG) – MONROE County officials plan to answer questions concerning an investigation into the suicide of the murder in the canton of Bedford, as well as the death of two adolescents in the canton of Graisinville in recent days.
The sheriff of the county of Monroe, Troy Goodnough, plans to hold a press conference on Wednesday at 4.30 p.m. to provide additional details on the two separate surveys. 13 Action News will broadcast it live. The superintendents of Bedford public schools and the airport community schools will be there.
The Sheriff’s Office Declaration said on Wednesday that the two tragedies had deeply had an impact on the County of Monroe community.
The Sheriff’s office investigated the death of Gwen Smith, 17, a recent graduate of Bedford High School, and Ryne Leist, 33. The two were found dead from ball wounds inside a house in the 1600 block of W. Sterns Road on June 14. Investigators ruled on the death of Smith a homicide and judged that the death of Leist a suicide.
The incident triggered public questions about how the two know exactly. A previous statement from the Sheriff’s Office said that the two were knowledge and that despite speculation on social networks, they were not in a meeting relationship. The Sheriff’s Office also said that Leist was not used as a coach for Bedford public schools, arousing new confusion in the community. Investigators also plan to fight an incident during which two teenagers were found dead of ball injury on Heiss Road in the canton of Graisinville on Tuesday. Their identities have not been published at the moment. The sheriff’s office said there was no connection between this incident and the suicide of the murder in the canton of Bedford.
