The NFL list cuts the 2025 Tracker: the players published by the 32 teams before the deadline of 53 men
The busiest day in the NFL occurs this week, and this is not the start of the free agency or the project. The teams must cut their lists of 90 men to 53 before Tuesday (August 26), creating the first lists of 53 men around the league before the start of the season in less than two weeks.
On the basis of the cup of their lists from 90 to 53, 37 players are cut off from each team – which means that 1,182 league players will be canceled in the coming days. All teams must reduce their list to first 53 players on Tuesday at 4 p.m. he. The teams must have 53 players on their active list, but the players released still have the opportunity to be part of the list of 69 men.
This is possible via the training team, because the teams can have a maximum of 16 players in their training team with an exception. If a team has a player in the international pathway program on his list, he can keep 17 players. Thus, teams can have a maximum number of players on their list (53 assets, 16 training sessions, 1 international track).
Players with less than four accumulated seasons must go through the derogation thread in order to become free agents without restriction. The NFL defines an accumulated season as six or more games on the list of 53 men from a team, the injured reserve or the list physically unable to perform. Players who have four seasons accumulated or more are immediately free agents and can sign with a team at any time.
For players with less than four years of accumulated service time, the teams have until noon and Wednesday to make a complaint for a player. Essentially, the teams have 8 p.m. to make a complaint – if they wish.
