The NFL is associated with European football clubs to produce American football style shirts

American football and European football can differ considerably through rules, culture and global perception – but they share a surprising number of similarities. The two are ball sports, the two offer massive global consequences, and the two have a deep connection with fashion – on and off the field.

Now these two worlds should collide again, with the help of Nike.

According to disclosed images shared by the initiate of Sneakers Romeo on X, Nike and the National Football League (NFL) combine with several European football clubs to create special American football jerseys.

Disclossed conceptions include shirts for Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético Madrid, all with white bases, oversized numbers at the front and rear, V-neck necklaces with the NFL logo and club ridges placed on the sleeves.

Football titles Reveal that collaboration is part of the preparation of the FIFA 2026 World Cup, which started on June 11, 2026, in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The collection should fall soon, although it is not difficult to know if additional clubs will be involved.

This is not the first time that Nike has been going through these sports flows. In 2018, the brand published a similar range of inspiration for American football for Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur – although these shirts notably missed the official NFL brand.

Interestingly, Tottenham, whose stadium now serves the de facto home of the NFL London Games, did not present in the current cycle of disclosed designs.

But with a European trophy now proudly added to their office, spurs fans will probably not lose sleep above fashion collaborations.
