The next generation of Rock Royalty

Throughout the entertainment industry, There is little shortage of talented families, parents who transmit their talents to their children who dominate in a similar field. It is probably the most common in the cinema and television industries, when the son or daughter of a famous actor also begins to act from an early age and becomes the next great thing over time.

That said, the music industry is no different; There is a ton of family business in all genres, and even in the same groups: The Allman Brothers Band, The Beach Boys, AC / DC, Heart – The continuous list. The most underestimated family of music today is perhaps the Hewson family, with none other than Paul David Hewson as a patriarch, otherwise known as Bono.

While the daughter of Bono, Eve Hewson, has set up a decent catalog of roles in the cinema and television industries, Her son, Elijah, has been playing the guitar and singing the main voices for the group’s inhaler for 15 years. Hewson’s sound is definitely more modern than that of his father in U2, but he begins to dominate the alternative music scene in a strangely similar way.

The discography of the inhaler crushes any potential doubt surrounding Hewson’s genetic talent

I first learned the inhaler on the recommendation of a friend, who told me that the singer of the group, Elijah Hewson, was the son of Bono, And that was all I needed to hear from the start, dive my head first in their catalog, Which, at the time, included only two albums and some stray singles.

Being a fanatic of the U2, it took me every 30 seconds of track one on the group’s first studio album, It won’t always be like thatTo fall in love with them. After falling into the rabbit burrow, I played a few songs for my parents, my colleagues fans of the U2, and both responded with “He looks like Bono!”

Aside from the strange musical resemblance to the young Hewson Bares to his father, He and his group absolutely cultivated their own unique and modern. Many of their singles are catchy, pleasant in the ear, and the fact that they are a young group of four classic pieces makes the inhaler easy to love.

Elijah Hewson, with bassist Robert Keating, keyboardist Josh Jenkinson and drummer Ryan McMahon, released their third studio album, Open largein February of this year. The release of the album was preceded by four singles: “your house”, “open wide”, “a question of you” and “billy (yeah yeah yeah).”

Although there were four singles (fantastic, can I add) before the full album, The greatest introduction to Open large is undoubtedly the opening track, “Eddie in the dark”, “ One of the most catchy songs throughout their work, and which will certainly become a must of their September Tour.

The inhaler embarks on a brief tour of 11 shows in the United States to promote Open largeFrom September 13 in Asbury Park, nj. On September 21, they played at the Riot Fest, a music festival in Chicago which has headliners such as Blink-182, Green Day, Weezer, Jack White, The Sex Pistols and much more.

Get out of the heels of such an electric album at the start of the year and play on the same scene as legends like Jack White, I think it is sure to say that the inhaler is increasing, and 2025 is certainly their greatest year to date.
