The New Yorker Brian Tarrence disappears during the romantic holidays in Turks and Caicos with his wife

A man from Manhattan during a romantic birthday getaway with his wife mysteriously disappeared from an airbnb on an lush Caribbean island – and is now the subject of massive research.

Brian Tarrence, 51, was last seen on a security video leaving the rental house on Turks and CAICOS Island around 3:30 am on June 25 and heading for a lively tourist area, the private investigator Carl Defazio told Fox News.

“Until now, we have managed to do nothing, but we do not abandon hope,” said Defazio, a former nypd and US Marine cop hired by the family of the missing man. “What I say to the family … in cases like this, stay positive until you have a reason not to be.

“He’s an intelligent guy,” he added. “We don’t know what’s in his mind or if he did it alone or if someone has taken it.”

Defazio said that nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary before leaving the house, according to the family.

“Everything before the point he got out of this house, he seems good,” the private detective said in News12 Westchester. “They made a boat trip and went to dinner, as all the other families would do when they are there.”

Tarrence graduated from Florida Atlantic University and since June 2023 has been vice-president of Diligent Software, a Manhattan company specializing in information sharing technology, according to its LinkedIn profile.

Tarrence was seen on security images leaving her rental in Grace Bay, Providenciales, June 25.

“We are deeply concerned about the member of our team, Brian Tarrence, who was missing,” the company said in a press release. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Brian and his loved ones during this extremely difficult period.

“We have been made available to cooperate fully with local police and have initiated a security firm to support the in progress research efforts,” the statement said.

Tarrence recently moved from Monroe in the north of the County of Orange to Midtown Manhattan, and tackled the Turks and the Caics with his one -year -old wife on June 22 and planned to stay until June 29.

But just three days after his arrival on the island, a British territory in the Bahamas archipelago, he disappeared with a t-shirt, shorts and sneakers.

He also had his mobile phone and his wallet with him when he left, said Defazio, noting that the area he disappeared is “very safe”.

But his disappearance early in the morning remains a mystery.

“It’s a bit weird in itself,” said the investigator. “He is in the middle of the city. His wife was sleeping. “

Defazio worked hard to obtain a recording of Tarrence’s telephone activity on the islands, but it is a slow process, he said.

He said the Royal Turkish and Caicos police reported in Tarrence Disppear and had published an online alert.

Police on the island did not respond to requests for comments from the position, but Defazio assured that the cops operate all the resources available to locate the missing New Yorker – including the use of drones and surveillance cameras.

He said that he was also “very proud of the response of local businesses and people on vacation”, many of whom proposed to help by distributing leaflets of missing persons “everywhere in the Turks and Caïcos”.

Defazio, who has been a private investigator since 1990, said that he did not think there was an unfair game in the disappearance of Tarrence – but that he was not ready to exclude him completely.
