The new epic historical drama of Jason Momoa proves that he is the king of Apple TV +
Apple TV + has been one thing for a little more than half a decade, but the streaming service has proven to be an excellent destination for the original scripted content. When the service was launched with a handful of shows in 2019, it enlisted a multitude of actors on list A as leads. Jason Momo played in one of the first shows in the service, SeeLike Baba Voss. Two years later See finished, Momoa is back on Apple TV + with a new theater program, Warlord. Located in Hawai’i Precolonial, the epic historical drama was a success with viewers and criticisms, currently 89% seated on the rotten reviewer. In addition, this is the most watched show on the streamer currently, according to Flixpatrol, beating tastes Foundation And Smoke For the upper position. Two episodes have been broadcast so far.
Warlord is ambitious in the story he tells and the scale he does. Historical epics have been made, but many do not focus on places like Hawai’i at one point like that shown in the show. Collision Aidan Kelley examined the series and compared it to several others in the same niche. He applauded the capacity of the drama to stand out by kissing what makes her unique. Warlord It certainly corresponds to competition in terms of scale and ambition, but its true secret to success is the way it stimulates and illustrates a culture which has been at best underrepresented and has at worst distorted in the worst in the sphere of entertainment. There is practically no film or show that embraces and explores Hawaiian culture and history as Warlord do.
