The MELANIA trailer is out and it’s on fire – RedState

Melania Trump was a bit of a cipher during her husband’s first presidential term, from 2017 to 2020. She didn’t move to the White House initially, choosing instead to live in New York City at Trump Tower so their son, Barron, could finish the school year. Left-wing rumors persisted that she was some sort of captured woman who desperately wanted out of marriage but felt unable to escape.

The stupidity reached a point so stupid that the “Free Melania” meme became a thing.

Oh, how things have changed. The First Lady is regularly seen in public with her husband, often beaming, she is involved in world affairs and wrote a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin imploring him to think about the lives of the children he is ruining as he continues his endless war against Ukraine, and she has written a best-selling memoir.

Now she’s made a movie – and the trailer is awesome. Rather than seeming like a dispirited, bitter, and helpless wife, she comes across as a feisty, responsible, and mission-focused woman:

The 104-minute film is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on January 30, 2026, in theaters in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and more. Amazon will also launch a documentary series in the coming months.

“History was set in motion in the 20 days of my life leading up to the U.S. presidential inauguration,” the first lady told Fox News. “For the first time, audiences around the world are invited into theaters to witness this pivotal chapter unfold: a private, unfiltered look at my family, business and philanthropy during my remarkable journey to becoming First Lady of the United States of America.”

If this is a woman who hates her husband and despises being First Lady, she does a hell of a job hiding it:

The caravan jumps from the first lady and the president during the inauguration; standing together outside Mar-a-Lago; behind the scenes of the inauguration showing Baron Trump and Mrs. Trump’s father; to a series of images of the first lady; Air Force One; the presidential seal and more.

The infamous lion from Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) roars and takes over the screen.

The trailer then shows Mrs. Trump entering a room where President Trump is standing at a podium during a meeting and rehearsing a speech.

“My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker,” Trump said.

The first lady breaks in and says, “peacemaker and unifier.”

“Everyone wants to know,” Melania says. “So there you go.” Indeed.

The film, directed by Hollywood veteran Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X‑Men: The Last Stand) and produced by Amazon MGM Studios, will be released worldwide on January 30. Take the popcorn.
