The massive heart attack by Archbishop Td Jakes has had no symptoms

In the middle of his sermon last November, Bishop TD Jakes, chief of the mega-church of Dallas, the potter’s house, was transported to hospital with what the church called in his official declaration an “health incident”. Many have hypothesized that it was a stroke. However, Bishop Jakes sat with the host of today Craig Melvin today to reveal that he has undergone a massive heart attack.

Mgr Jakes says he did not realize what had happened to him until his arrival at the hospital in an ambulance.

“I was on this subject while I was on stage. Then a doctor leaned in my ear and said, “You had a massive heart attack,” he recalls.

One of the reasons for which he did not know that he had a heart event was that Mgr Jakes did not feel the symptoms he had heard of, numbness or clear pain. “I’m just sort of … I fell asleep. I didn’t know what it was … but I almost died. [The doctor] Said five minutes later, I would have been dead on arrival, “said Mgr Jakes.

Jakes continued. “The right side of my heart had stopped giving blood. As long as I preached, I felt good, but when I sat down, adrenaline dropped and that exposed the fact that I preached with half my heart closed through a clot. ” This required surgery.

Melvin and Mgr Jakes spoke of being so close to death and that he was at peace all the time. “And then I had my whole church, and when I say my whole church, I mean global, not only the congregation. Even people who have not gone to my church, people all over the world sent prayers. I am so grateful and I want to take advantage of this opportunity to thank them,” he said.

“And while they were praying, the surgeons worked while I was awake. They never fell asleep; the technology is incredible,” said Bishop Jakes.

One might think that after having recovered from a massive heart attack, Mgr Jakes would slow down. No, he does more. Look for a new podcast to come soon.
