The massive hard drives, 30 TB and $ 600 from Seagate are now available so that anyone can buy

The discs are based on the Mosaic 3+ platform in Seagate, which “integrates the unique implementation of HAMR by Seagate to offer mass capacity storage to unprecedented overfacked densities of 3 TB per disc and beyond”.
The Seagate press release is mainly focused on the relevance of major training sessions for AI – “AI” data storage is mentioned in body text 21 times, and it is not a long version. But obviously, they will be useful for any type of storage where you need as much tuberculosis as possible to adapt to a space as small as possible.
Although most of the general public PCs have moved away from hard drives with rotation trays, they always provide the best storage by GigaCtet for huge data centers where ultra-rapid performance is not necessary. SSDs of huge data centers are also available but at much higher prices.
The competitor of Seagate Western Digital says that his first HAMR -based discs are due in 2027, although he managed to reach 32 TB using SMR technology. Toshiba tests the Hamr discs and said that he would taste some discs for tests in 2025, but he did not engage in a calendar for the availability of the public.
