The longtime retail giant that will make OC Mall closed

Westminster, California – The oldest anchor store in the Westminster Mall, JCPENNEY, is closing by November.

The company informed the state employment development service and indicated that the store would be open until November 16 and closed on November 21.

Buyers told Patch that banners and “store closing” panels are already clinging to the Westminster Mall window.

The 76 employees will lose their jobs in Westminster, unless they find positions in other JCPENNY stores, the County Orange register reported.

The Anchor store opened in Westminster in 1993, in a Robinson-May store. Its closure will leave two jcpenneys in the county of Orange.
