The London Film Festival adds four titles

The London Film Festival has added a number of titles to this year’s programming, including Paolo Sorrentino Grace.

Grace will arrive in London after a first arc in Venice. The film follows Mariano de Santis, a fictitious president of the Italian Republic. Widowed and Catholic, he has a daughter, Dorotea, a legal scholar like him. While his mandate derives an end, over the days without incident, two final functions arise: decide on two delicate petitions for presidential pardon. The real moral dilemmas, which become tangled in a way that seems impossible to collapse, with his private life. Pushed by doubt, he will have to decide. And, with a deep sense of responsibility, this is exactly what this Italian president will do.

The photo features Toni Servillo and Anna Ferzetti. The film is produced by Fremantle’s apartment in combination with number 10 and Piperfilm. Mubi will release the film.

LFF also added The fenceThe latest feature by the French filmmaker Claire Denis. The film goes to London after its first screening in Toronto. Located on a construction site with whites in West Africa, a daring and closely injured foreman is impatiently awaiting his bride. His presence is encountered by a resistance of a cocksure engineer who clings to the status quo of the hyper-masculine world in which he resides. But it is the arrival of another foreigner who finally upset the fragile world in which they all exist. The film is adapted from the play by Bernard-Marie Koltès Black Battles with dogs.

LFF will take place from October 8 to 9. The festival will open with the third of Rian Johnson Knives Flick and close with Julia Jackman 100 nights of heroes.
