The Leicester City legend, Jamie Vardy, is linked to a move to the Rangers

Jamie Vardy plans a potential passage to the Giants Scottish Giants Rangers, a transfer which could mark a significant return to the football of the UEFA Champions League for the veteran striker, according to Daily Mail, as relayed by the mirror.

If the agreement materializes, it would be Vardy’s first appearance in the first European club competition since the 2016-2017 season, when he played for Leicester City during their famous European campaign.

At 38, Vardy is preparing for the next chapter of his illustrious career after having confirmed his departure from Leicester City, where he became an icon of the club.

During 13 seasons at the King Power Stadium, the former English international scored 200 goals in 500 appearances, playing a pivotal role in the historic Leicester victory in the Premier League in 2015-2016 and their subsequent race for the Champions League quarterfinals the following year.

During this 2016-2017 Champions League season, Vardy appeared in nine games, scoring crucial goals against the Sevilla Spanish teams and Atletico Madrid.

His performances helped Leicester to undo the chances by progressing towards the last eight before being eliminated by Atletico of Diego Simeone.

Now a free agent, Vardy arouses a strong interest from several contenders both in Europe and abroad.

Rangers could offer him football in the Champions League

The Rangers have become a serious competitor for his signature, while they seek to strengthen their team before another qualification in the Champions League.
