The legend of San Antonio Tejano Flaco Jimenez dies at 86, said the family

Jimenez was already hospitalized on January 12
San Antonio – The award -winning musical artist at Grammy Awards Flaco Jimenez died, his family announced on his social networks on Thursday evening. He was 86 years old.
“It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our father this evening, Flaco Jimenez,” said the post. “He was surrounded by his loved ones and we will miss a lot.”
In an article on Facebook, the family also thanked Jimenez fans and friends to cherish their music and memories.
On January 12, Jimenez was taken to hospital after “faced a medical obstacle”.
The 86 -year -old man was known for his many achievements in Tejano’s music. One of his albums, “Partners”, was selected for the national registration register of the US Congress in 2021.
The Congress Library called Jimenez “A champion of traditional conjunto music and Tex-Mex culture which is also known for innovation and collaboration with a variety of artists.”
According to the Grammy Awards website, he won six grammys, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015.
