Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired American distribution rights for Anders Thomas Jensen The Last VikingWith Mads Mikkelsen.
The Last Viking Mark the sixth feature film by Anders Thomas Jensen as a director. The six Star Mads Mikkelsen and Nikolaj films lie Kaas. The official synopsis of the film can be read as follows: Anker is released from prison following a fifteen -year sentence for theft. The robbery was buried by Anker’s brother Manfred. He only knows where he is. Unfortunately, Manfred has since developed a mental disorder, making him forget everything. Together, the brothers embark on an unexpected trip to locate money and discover who they really are.
The film made its debut at the this year’s Venice Film Festival, followed by the first North American at the Toronto International Film Festival. Thomas Jensen makes a script he wrote. The film was produced by Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Sidsel Hybschmann for Zentropa Entertainments4 in co -production with Zentropa Sweden and Film I Väst. Trustnordisk is on international sales.
The agreement was negotiated between Peter Goldwyn, president of Samuel Goldwyn Films, and Susan Wendt, Managing Director of Trustnordisk.

Susan Wendt de Trustnordisk added: “I am really happy to have concluded another agreement with Samuel Goldwyn, who is really passionate about the film, and I could not imagine a better partner who brought us to the American public.”
