The American permanent resident and reggaeton leamsy Izquierdo artist revealed that the conditions in “Alligator Alcartraz”, where he is detained, are as inhuman as announced.
“There is no water here for people to bathe. I did not show off for four days, there is no water, no toothpaste, they do not let you go for a minute to get air,” said Izquierdo, whose stage name is Leamsy La Figura, during a phone call later shared online by her partner Katia Hernández. “We are in a metal bars cage with the lights over 24 hours a day, and mosquitoes look like elephants.”
Izquierdo has been detained in Alligator Alcatraz since Friday.
“They only give us food once a day, food that has even been infested from worms. The lights are never extinguished, they are over 24 hours a day,” he continued. “And mosquitoes look like elephants.”
Izquierdo is a legal legal resident of the United States, but has been recovered and expelled in an extremely short notice after being arrested for serious assault with a deadly weapon and simple assault in the county of Miami-Dade on July 2.
