The jewel of Casey Mize leads Alle Tigers

Spencer Torkelson struck a solo home run and Casey Mize launched seven dominant heats in a four combined strikers while the Detroit Tigers on a visit preceded the Cleveland Guardians 1-0 on Saturday evening.
Torkelson went deep in the second round against Logan Allen (5-7), sending his 20th circuit of the year in the right field seats. Detroit, leader of the American League, has won five of his last seven games and is 12 1/2 games in front of the Minnesota second place in the Central.
Mize (9-2) dispersed four strokes on a top of 102 throws, one of its career summit. The right -hander walked two and removed four outings without allowing a runner to reach the third goal.
Brant Hurter launched a 1-2-3 eighth and Tommy Kahnle gave a two outings to Daniel Schneemann in the ninth before removing Kyle Manzardo for his ninth stop.
The Guardians have dropped their ninth consequence, corresponding to their longest loss sequence since a nine gamer in 2021. Cleveland was dominated 41-13 during the slippage, was excluded five times and held less than three points in seven of the matches.
Torkelson had the two tigers against four Guardians launchers, less than five feet from another circuit in the fourth after sending a high ball on the left for a long single.
Allen worked six sleeves, abandoning one point on two strokes. The left -hander withdrew five years and walked two but lost his third consecutive departure – all at home, where the guards were hooked throughout the evening.
The second goal player of Tigers All-Star, Gleyber Torres, left the game with a murderous neck after a collision at the end of the Channel with the elbow of Brayan Rocchio in Cleveland in the first.
Torres ran to the second on a group struck by his teammate Riley Greene when Rocchio received a target launch of the second goal player Angel Martinez.
Rocchio caught the ball, but his elbow struck torres on his face as he slipped from the bag. He remained subject to dirt for several minutes before leaving the field.
