A JetBlue flight at Boston Logan International Airport turned on the grass while turning off a track during landing on Thursday.
The track was closed while JetBlue Flight 312 was evaluated and its passengers were deployed by the stairs and were taken to the terminal, the airport officials said with Massport in CNN.
The Airbus A220 came from Chicago O’Hare International Airport, and the incident occurred around 11:55 a.m. local time. The plane was new, according to the files of the Federal Aviation Administration, and had been manufactured in 2024.
No injury has been reported, Massport officials said.
“Security is JetBlue’s Absolute Priority,” the airline said in a statement. “We will lead a complete investigation into the incident and work closely with the competent authorities to understand the cause.”
Tyesha Best, president of the Transports Union of America Local 579 workers, said the union was “aware of the event”. The union represents the jetblue on -board agents.
“All teams and customers are safe,” Best said in a statement in CNN. “We are in contact with the company to provide all the necessary support for affected people.”
The FAA raised a field stop published earlier Thursday at the airport for an emergency. Boston Airport was under a floor period on Thursday afternoon, which has an impact of around 14% of starting flights, according to Flightaware flight data tracker.
