It is not a secret for anyone that Tottenham is interested in Savinho, having tried to sign it during the recent summer transfer window. However, any hope of a future agreement seemed to be lost when it was reported that it had an agreement in principle with Man City for a new contract, but it may not be the case.
Savinho was interested in a summer move to Tottenham, believing that he would be more important in northern London. And he could still feel in this way in the advantage of the reopening of the transfer windows in January.
Tottenham Hope for the Savinho agreement despite the contractual agreement
According to the Football initiate, Pete O’Rourke revealed that there was still a chance for Savinho to join Tottenham in 2026.
“Many will come down to what the player also wants to do. If he does not play regularly by January, then it could perhaps open the door to Tottenham to rekindle their interest in Savinho.
“He will think he must play potentially before a year of the World Cup with Brazil. City doesn’t really want to lose it. I am sure they will want to keep it at least until the end of the season because City will need Savinho by then and the challenge for honors also on all fronts.
“I’m sure he will have a lot of playing time, but I’m sure the Spurs continue to monitor his situation in City for sure.”
There is no doubt that Savinho would be a highest signature for Tottenham, and it would undoubtedly be a more established environment for him in the team of Thomas Frank – since he is more likely to be a nailed starter. Its objective will be to be included in the Brazil World Cup team, so that they can try to take the step in January.
