“The Hunger Games: Sunrise On Reaping”: first trailer revealed

A year before the film’s 2026 release, Lionsgate has released a surprise trailer and first look images (scroll down) for The Hunger Games: Sunrise over the Harvest.
It’s a nice first look at the latest installment in the hit franchise, which will be released on November 20, 2026. Pic features an all-star cast including Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Ralph Fiennes, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Jesse Plemons, Billy Porter and Lili Taylor, alongside emerging actors Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace and Ben Wang, among others.
The film revisits the universe of Panem and follows young Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada) twenty-four years before the events of The hunger gamesstarting on the morning of the harvest of the fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.
Francis Lawrence directs from an adaptation of Billy Ray’s screenplay. Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson of Color Force produce. Cameron MacConomy is executive producer.
The five films in the franchise have grossed over $3.3 billion at the box office.Sunrise over the harvest sold 1.5 million copies in its first week on sale in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The 1.2 million copies sold in the United States represent double the sales of the first week of The Ballad of Songbirds and Serpents and three times the sales of the first week of Mockingjay.
