The guards promote Nic Enright 3 years after the diagnosis of cancer

Less than three years after receiving a cancer diagnosis, Nic Enright is on the way to major leagues.

The Cleveland Guardians called the 28-year-old right-of-the-art right-of-the-art launcher in order to strengthen their enclosure of the lifts while Hunter Gaddis heads for the mourning list after a death in the family.

Trail of the 20th round by Cleveland in 2019, Enright made nine appearances in 2025 for Columbus, where he held a 2.00 MPM with a stop and seven stick withdraws on nine sleeves. Last year, Enright went 2-1 for the clippers with an MPM of 1.06, withdrawing 31 and collecting three stops in 17 rounds.

Enright did not record an appearance in the major league during his six -year career, preparing the field for a probable emotional start if he obtains the call to the mound.

In 2022, less than a month after the Miami marlins snatched him from Cleveland in the rule 5 project, Enright was diagnosed with a Hodgkin-Lymphomyte nodular lymphoma of stadium 2.

However, the law has persevered, believing that reaching the big leagues was an objective that would help him support the treatments. The setbacks on the field also emerged, including an impact of the shoulder in 2024 and a LAT strain which delayed its start for the 2025 season.

Now Enright is about to realize his MLB dream.
