The Governor of Utah says that the reason not certain, suspects on the left

Utah Spencer Cox governor said on Sunday that investigators are not ready to discuss the reason behind the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. But he said that the suspect had leftist political convictions, did not like the conservative influencer and did not cooperate in detention.
“Clearly a left -wing ideology,” Cox told NBC Meet the press. On cnn Union stateHe said: “This information comes from people around him, members of his family and friends.”
Cox said Robinson, 22, “does not cooperate” and that friends paint a painting by someone radicalized in the dark corners of the Internet. “It is clear that there were a lot of games in progress,” said Cox on NBC. “Friends confirmed that there was a kind of this deep and dark internet, the Reddit culture and these other dark places of the Internet where this person was going in depth.”
A republican who called on all supporters to alleviate his rhetoric after the attack, the governor added: “I really don’t have a dog in this fight. If it was a radicalized magazine, I would say it too.”
COX underlined in several Sunday morning news shows, however, that investigators are still trying to determine a reason for the attack on the father of two children and Trump’s confidant, who was killed on Wednesday when he was in one of his university speaking at Utah Valley University. The governor said more information could be published once the suspect, Tyler Robinson, appears in court on Tuesday.
The governor said that the suspect’s partner was transgender, which some politicians stressed as a sign that Robinson was aiming for Kirk for his anti-trans opinions. But the authorities did not say if it was relevant when it investigates Robinson’s reason.
“The roommate was a romantic partner, a man passing to women,” said Cox. “I can say that he was incredibly cooperative, this partner was very cooperative, did not know that it was happening.”
The investigators spoke to the relatives of Robinson and carried out a search warrant at his family’s home in Washington, about 240 miles (390 kilometers) southwest of the University of Utah Valley, where the shooting took place.
State files show that Robinson is registered to vote but not affiliated with a political party and is listed as inactive, which means that he did not vote in the last two general elections. His parents are registered Republicans.
The ammunition found with the weapon used to kill Kirk were engraved with muddy, anti-fascist and meme culture messages. Judicial files show that a ball housing had the message: “Hey, fascist! Catch!”
Robinson grew up around St. George, in the southwest corner of Utah between Las Vegas and natural monuments, notably Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks.
Robinson became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, widely known as the Mormone Church, at a young age, said Church spokesperson Doug Andersen.
Robinson has two young brothers and his parents have been married for about 25 years, according to publications on social networks. Robinson’s mother’s online activity reflects an active family that has vacation in Disneyland, Hawaii, Caribbean and Alaska.
Like many in this part of Utah, they have often spent time outside – pleasure navigation, fishing, rolling mountain bikes, zipper and target shot. A 2017 article shows that the family visited a military installation and posing with assault rifles. A young Robinson is seen smiling while he grabs the handles of a heavy machine gun .50.
Student of the high school honor who marked in the 99th centile nationally on standardized tests, he was admitted to the Utah State University in 2021 on a prestigious university scholarship, according to a video of him reading his letter of acceptance which was published on the account of the social media of a family member.
But he attended a single semester, according to the university. He is currently registered as a third year student in the Electric Learning Program of the Dixie Technical College by St. George.
