Everton finally seems to make movements on the transfer market before the Premier League season.
Thierno Barry is through the door, while a movement to sign Malick Fofana approaches proximity.
David Moyes is not yet finished, of course, because there are still several areas which must strengthen heavily.
A new right back is urgent, and another central defender does not go either. Moyes could be able to call Vitaliy Mykolenko on the left side of the defense, but the recent news suggest that he is getting closer to another left back.
Everton’s search for defenders
Despite their need to improve a back line that conceded 44 times last season, there was a separate lack of transfer links.

Well, according to Paddy Boyland of athletics, Everton materializes to sign the young person from Bayern Munich Adam Aznou.
This decision will initially cost the Toffees around 8 million pounds sterling, which, given its growth potential, could prove to be a clever decision for the club.
Boyland reports that he is “ready” to undergo a medical at the beginning of the week and to fly to the United States to join the team during their pre-season tour.
His arrival would add dynamism to the left flank and, in the coming years, the Moroccan defender could be a perfect signature for Iliman Ndiaye.
Why Adam Aznou is perfect for Ndiaye
Last season, Ndiaye finished as the top scorer in Everton with 11 goals, and it was a first introduction to English football for the International of Senegal.
If he can start from this, Moyes will have a devastating left winger at his disposal who can help dismiss the Merseyside Club in the upper half of the Premier League table this quarter.
The winger also succeeded with 2.1 dribbles last season, while creating three major chances and recording a 24%goals’ conversion percentage.
By adding Aznou to the team, the young left back has the ability to connect well with Ndiaye in the future, and this partnership could cause chaos for the defense of the opposition.
In 2024, the talent scout Jacek Kulig nicknamed Aznou as a “generational talent” and if he impresses in Everton, he will be up to this overhaul.
Aznou has already made four appearances for Bayern Munich, with a recent club World Cup, but it was during his loan with the real Valladolid where he shone.
He started ten Liga games for the club and looked impressive in the last third. Indeed, he succeeded with 1.5 dribbles per game – a success rate of 56% – while making an average of 0.5 key passes and recording 0.3 shots per game.
The young person has also shown defensively. Compared to its peers through the top five leagues in Europe, Aznou ranked in 9% of the lateral rear for the plated (2.82) by 90, in the first 1% for blocks (2.51) by 90 and also in the upper 30% for the antennas won (1.11) by 90 during its passage in Spain.
Given its lack of senior appearances, these statistics indicate a trend that Moyes hopes to continue in Everton.
