The Gameday of the Espn college takes place for Old Main Lawn on Saturday – Penn State

University Park, PA. – The Gameday of the College of ESPN will return to University Park for the 12th time in its sexual history on Saturday September 27, before the match White Out long awaited between the Nitany Lions n ° 2/2 and the Ducks n ° 6/5 of Oregon. The kick -off is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. HE on NBC.

The emblematic university football age will be broadcast from 9 a.m. to noon on Old Main Lawn. This marks the 26th time that the Gameday College is organized on the site of a Penn State match, including two unofficial appearances.

This year’s visit to Happy Valley marks the second consecutive season that the show presented Penn State at home. Last season, College Gameday broadcast live from the outside of the West Shore field at the Beaver Stadium on November 2 for the Penn State-Ohio State match.

Acvis Davis is at the helm of his 11th season, joined at the office by analysts of Gameday Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban.

Wear white!

We want to bring white to the old main lawn and to Gameday college on Saturday! Fans are encouraged to bring white to the show and show their minds of Penn State.

Pollock Road closed from 5 p.m. Tuesday
To accommodate the program configuration, road closings and the following parking adjustments will be in place:

  • Pollock Road is closed between Fraser Road and the entrance to the Brown B parking lot until Saturday. The closure will extend from Burrowes Road to Shortlidge Road on Saturday.
  • The old main car park will be closed until Saturday to provide a staging area for ESPN production vehicles. The ROO license holders who normally park in Old Main will be temporarily reassigned to the Brown section A parking lot located behind the Willard building.
  • The Brown car park has behind the Willard building will be reserved for Roo licensees only, with the exception of ADA spaces, until Saturday. All vehicles, including vehicles in the department, must be removed immediately from this lot. An overflow car park for Brown license holders is available in red A.
  • Due to the prolonged closure of Pollock Road on Saturday between Burrowes Road and Pollock Road, the Brown B and Brown E parking areas will also be closed to all users on Saturday. License holders need parking during these hours must park on the Eisenhower or Nittany terraces. All university departments with vehicles parked in these lots which may need to access it during these hours must move their vehicles in another parking lot before midnight Friday evening.

Regulations for fans interested in standing in the Gameday’s “Pit”
The following regulations will be in place, according to ESPN and Penn State, for fans who wish to stand in the “pit” near the College gameday step (the show is free):

  • Fans can start aligning themselves for access to the pit on Saturday at 5.30 am, the pit being opened around 6:45 am (no night campsite).
  • The fans entering the pit will be projected for safety using metal detection baguettes.
  • No bags, backpacks or handbags are allowed.
  • No offensive, vulgar, inappropriate or solicitation signaling will be authorized (that is to say not political, religious or .com, .org, .net signal).
  • No signs or flags on a stick.
  • No pens, pencils, markers or plates to erase dry.
  • No food or drinks.
  • The launch of objects is prohibited.

Transport and parking recommendations for fans participating in Gameday University
Penn State makes the following transport and parking recommendations for fans who plan to attend ESPN College Gameday. The West Shore field in Beaver Stadium parking whos will open at 8 a.m.

Students:

  • Students who live on campus are encouraged to go to the old main lawn or take the Cati White or Blue Loop bus and to walk on Burrowes Street or the Schlow Library on Beaver Avenue (White) or the Intersection of College Avenue and Allen Street (Blue).
  • Students who live out of campuses and residents of the State College are encouraged to go to Old Main or take a Cata bus and walk from the Schlow library on Beaver avenue.

Students and fans who plan to park near the location of the Gameday of the ESPN college:

  • On the campus – a paying parking is available on:
    • Deck East and Nittany at $ 2 for 1 hour, $ 3 for 2 hours and $ 40 for more than 2 hours.
    • West Deck at $ 2 for 1 hour, $ 3 for 2 hours and $ 25 for more than 2 hours.
    • Deck Eisenhower for $ 40
  • Downtown – There are three parking garages in the city center which are three pies of houses from the old main lawn which have time prices: the Beaver avenue garage, the Garage Fraser Street and the Garage Pugh Street. The street car park is also available in the city center.

Fans who plan to park on the ground of West Shore at the Beaver Stadium Lots and to attend ESPN College Gameday:

  • Fans who have a land at home from West Shore to the Beaver Stadium allowed and plan to park in their day space, then attend Gameday University, are encouraged to go to Old Main (1.3 miles) or take the Cati White or Blue Loop bus for the city center and walk (2-3 blocks).
  • Fans can pick up the Cata White loop along Hastings Road near the Hastings Road and University Drive intersection. Fans can walk from the Schlow library to Old Main.
  • Fans can pick up the Cat Blue on Curtin Road loop in front of the computer building and walk from the intersection of College Avenue and Allen Street with Old Main.
