A Gainesville resident recently won a $ 1 million lottery prize after buying a ticket in a South Hall store.
The Georgia Lottery announced on Monday afternoon that the person, whose name was not published, won the first prize in the Millionaire Maker Scrather Game.
The ticket was based on the Chevron Food Mart on Winder Highway in the Chestnut Mountain region.
“The winner won the prize on July 3 and chose the cash option, receiving $ 505,685,” said lottery officials.
Elsewhere in Georgia, a person won $ 3 million in the Mega Millions on July 4. The winning ticket was bought in a published store in Kennesaw. The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for July 8, with a jackpot estimated at $ 70 million.
