ATP Almaty Quarterfinal Predictions Including Medvedev vs Marozsan

The ATP 250 indoor hardcourt series is underway in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Only eight men remain in contention for the trophy and we are all set for an exciting final. As always, we preview and predict all four scheduled matches for you.

ATP Almaty Quarterfinal Predictions

Corentin Moutet versus Jan-Lennard Struff

Head to head – Moutet 2-0 Struff

Corentin Moutet played decent tennis after the US Open, reaching the last four in Hangzhou and now the last eight here. The Frenchman faces Jan-Lennard Struff, who surprisingly lost both times he played previously. Struff had a fantastic US Open this year and has carried that form over here. The German knocked out top seed Karen Khachanov, making this match extremely difficult to call. Expect a close battle between the two, with Struff banking on his big serve to get the job done.
Prediction: Struff in 3

Alex Michelsen vs. Shintaro Mochizuki

Face to face – First meeting

Alex Michelsen had a decent 2025 tennis season, which puts him below 40th place. The young American will be looking to make the most of this week as he is yet to drop a set in the two matches he has played. He faces Shintaro Mochizuki, who is only 22 years old but quickly rising through the ranks. Expect Michelsen to dominate, as the Japanese is still relatively inexperienced on the main circuit.
Prediction: Michelsen in 2

Flavio Cobolli vs. James Duckworth

Head to head – Cobolli 1-0 Duckworth

Flavio Cobolli will look to end a run of poor results since the US Open. The Italian looked good in his first match here, and now he faces James Duckworth. The Australian managed to win a close match against Gabriel Diallo but he has already played a lot this week. Expect Cobolli to dominate from the baseline and tire out Duckworth, who has had no momentum this year.
Prediction: Cobolli in 2

Daniil Medvedev vs. Fabian Marozsan

Head to head – Medvedev 1-0 Marozsan

Daniil Medvedev will be disappointed with his defeat last week in Shanghai because he would have preferred to reach the final. Medvedev is still without a title this year and Almaty may be where that streak ends. His next opponent is a dangerous Fabian Marozsan. The Hungarian is a lethal ball striker from the baseline and can take on Medvedev. Expect Medvedev to fight hard and try to get a tough victory.
Prediction: Medvedev in 3
