This offseason was an undeniable success for the Nuggets. After a few major upheavals in the last stages of last season at the front office, Denver has recovered this offseason.
With offers for Jonas Valancunas, Bruce Brown, Cam Johnson and others, Denver is in a privileged position to challenge Oklahoma City Thunder’s place at the western top next season. However, they could regret letting their best free agent escape when next season arrives.
Russell Westbrook in the direction of the East?
In a recent article by Andy Bailey to Bleacher Report, he predicted that Miami’s warmth could be an ideal landing point for Westbrook. With Bailey noting that Miami has no real guards on the list at the moment, Westbrook may have a chance to slide in the departure place.

Although the leader of all time in triple-double can be the most interested in competing for a championship, there is a chance that Westbrook can be exactly what Miami needs after having already acquired Norman Powell earlier this summer. With the future renowned temple that installs Powell and Tyler Herro on the perimeter and potentially direct a deadly peak-And-Roll with Bam Adebayo, Westbrook could be the room that helps heat to go up to the Eastern top while other teams of the conference deal with overwhelming injuries next season.
It may not be a perfect fit for Westbrook in Miami, but it might not take much to the Nuggets to realize that they made the wrong decision by letting him walk.
