The former MSNBC analyst reduces the reaction of the “shocking” media to the remarks of Erika Kirk – Redstate

Last week brought us a lot of disturbing news. Not only the assassination of the co-founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk, but the disturbing reaction by some on the left, encouraging his death. How could someone be so bad?

However, some liberals have had how disturbing this type of thought is. Bill Maher, for example, condemned this kind of reflection, specifically calling diabolical rhetoric on the left to call President Donald Trump “Hitler”, and by saying that this can facilitate the justification of things such as assassination.

The assassination also seemed to have deeply touched the former MSNBC analyst, Mark Halperin. Halperin is also the founder of the 2way Multimedia platform. Like Maher, Halperin is the one who is able to see beyond the liberal story. As Matt Vespa observed on our sister site, Townhall, Halperin was shocked when CNN and MSNBC failed to cover the emotionally powerful speech of Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika.

“If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you just unleashed,” she said. “The cries of this widow resonate in the world as a battle cry.”

Halperin noted that even the BBC took it live.

He was shocked. A foreign company has recognized the import. CNN and MSNBC probably knew the importation he could have – and that is why they did not do it.

Halperin also embraced the hypocrisy of the liberal media who have turned upside down by the fact that the people who applauded Kirk’s death undergoing consequences for their declarations.

More scandalous liberal media biases: after years of encouragement on the left / dominant media, tries to stifle / punish the conservative discourse and cancel the life of those they did not like, now the Washington Post and the news offices of the New York Times are school that the law uses the same techniques to punish those who have spoken publicly against Kirk since his murder, often pressing.

All of a sudden, rights to freedom of expression are sacrosanvy and organized efforts to cancel someone who are unacceptable.

Amazing.

Halperin also struck something else that I found very powerful in this discussion of the assassination and the twisted people encouraging, losing their decency and effectively trying to deny Kirk’s humanity.

An email that I have just received from a very intelligent person, who is now smarter, unfortunately because of the assassination of Charlie Kirk:

“I used to think of Trump’s disturbance syndrome as simple people who lose their heads about it specifically and the knee hates everything he said or made or promulgated. But I realize now that Trump’s disturbance syndrome has caused people to lose their ability to make the difference between good and evil. ”

It’s a huge problem. He also opens his eyes, as with this person.

Let us compare and contrans at Halperin’s latest interview with Charlie Kirk, the day before his assassination.
