The former midfielder of Manchester United and England dismissed by Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough dismissed head coach Michael Carrick after the club failed to reach the championship qualifiers.
The teessiders finished 10th after winning only one of their last six games and the club decided to separate from the former Channel of Manchester United, Tottenham and England.
Carrick joined Middlesbrough in October 2022 and made a strong initial impression, leading them to a finish among the first six, but they failed to reach the playoffs during the following two seasons and President Steve Gibson decided to handle the ax.
The club has separated today from head coach Michael Carrick.

A club declaration reads as follows: “Middlesbrough Football Club has separated today from head coach Michael Carrick.
“The assistants of Michael Jonathan Woodgate and Graeme Carrick also left the club.
“We would like to thank Michael, Jonathan and Graeme for all their hard work and their unshakable commitment. We wish them all the best for the future.
“The club will no longer comment at this stage.”
The former boss of Nottingham Forest Steve Cooper, who had a short time in Leicester last season, is among the candidates to replace Carrick at the Riverside Stadium.
