The force is not strong with Star Wars Outlaws on Switch 2, suggest initial impressions

We are a few days before the next big port of Switch 2, with Star Wars Outlaws preparing for a hyperspace outing on September 4. Ubisoft has been quite shy with Switch 2 images so far (bar an appearance of sizzling in the revelation of the direct console, and another brief look in July), and if we believe the initial impressions, there could be a good reason for that.
The Outlaws Switch 2 port has arrived in Pax West, giving everyone present the first chance to see how Kay Vess-Hopping’s adventure rates on new Nintendo equipment. Steve Bowling from GVG, who, despite the fact that Ubisoft did not grant the overview, allowed you not to have direct capture or exaggerated registration. Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t sound well.
According to Bowling, Outlaws works “quite badly” on Switch 2, both the resolution of the game and the category taking a blow to take into account the range of the open world and the technology under the hood. What is all the more worrying is that it occurs despite the majority of the demo which takes place in a relatively closed area – the beginning of the imperial ship escape.
Even in these smaller environments, the bowling alley noted the “unstable and non -capped framerate”, which apparently dropped below 30 frames per second points during the demo. In a larger dog fighting section, the Bowling notes that the game “simply did not seem very remarkable”, despite the lighting drawn to the shelves and DLSS offering neat visuals in more intimate moments.
Overall, it seems that we could be in a riding walk when it arrives on Switch 2 later this week – devil, we must assume that the demo Pax West is the finished version of the game with this tender. We will be able to see it early enough, although we are tempered these expectations.
