The flood waters destroyed a bridge while the Super Typhon Ragasa hit Taiwan on Tuesday.

According to the Taiwan fire service, at least 14 people died and dozens of others disappeared after a barrier lake broke out in the Oriental county of Hualien.

The most powerful typhoon in the world this year, continued to whip Hong Kong with the wind and the rain on Wednesday, forcing the cancellation of more than 700 flights.
