The first reactions of “Freakalier Friday” call the suite of Disney a “real delight”

“Freaker Friday” was revealed to members of the film press, and the first reactions call it a “great well-being film” which is “hilarious” because it is “touching”.
Television host Jeff Conway went to X to share his praise. He spoke that the film was “Double The Fun” with “Twice the Heart” as the original “Freaky Friday”.
“These 22 years later, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis have not missed a beat! Their chemistry on the screen is really something special,” he wrote. “A real pleasure that the whole family will appreciate.”
Variety’The editor -in -chief of the senior artisans Jazz Tangcay wrote on X that the film was “an absolute riot”, adding that she “laughed” aloud and “shouted” during the moments of the tender family.
“It’s a very great well-being film,” she wrote. “Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis offer hilarity and emotion in this fusing sequel. I never knew that I needed this film! Oh and Manny Jacinto, I love him.”
Entertainment journalist Brandon Davis echoed the praise, writing on X that he “screaming” with laughter during the first screening on Tuesday evening.
“Jamie Lee Curtis spends the time of her life and it’s an explosion to watch,” wrote Davis. “It’s silly and sometimes confusing but hilarious throughout, even sometimes touching. Absolutely among the most fun that I had a film this year.”
“Freakalier Friday” takes place years after the original. Anna now has her own daughter and a beautiful daughter-in-law. While she is trying to sail in the difficulties of fusion of her two families, Anna finds herself, her mother Tess, her daughter and her daughter-in-law in an exchange of four-way bodies. Which starts like pure chaos soon helps them find a certain understanding in the middle of the complicated family transition.
The original stars Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis come back as the first mother-daughter duo. The other members of the distribution include Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan.
While talking to Variety During the Las Culturistas Culture Awards, Curtis said that she had learned a lot from Lohan since her return for Disney.
“She taught me so much,” said Curtis. “She has her team, where her two people would be held on each side of a camera holding a great light. It is Lindsay Lighting – which would have been a good brand – they have lights so that we are better. So I already learned a lot. We have spent a good time. We love each other.”
The “Freaky Friday” Original 2003, based on the novel by Mary Rodgers in 1972, follows the widowed mother Tess and her teenage daughter Anna. During an impasse in their relationship, they find a magic fortune cookie which makes them exchange bodies, which leads to a deeper familiarity between them.
