“KPop Demon Hunters” returns to theaters for Halloween screenings

Huntr/x is coming back to theaters near you.

Netflix is bringing “Kpop Demon Hunters,” an animated fantasy adventure about a group of Kpop girls protecting the world from demons with their music, back to the big screen for Halloween-themed sing-along screenings. It will be shown from October 31 to November 2 in the three major US cinema chains – AMC, Regal and Cinemark – as well as in select theaters. This is important because the country’s most important circuits are generally reluctant to program Netflix films, opposed to cinemas.

“KPop Demon Hunters”, which recently became Netflix’s most popular film, dominated the box office in late August with an estimated $18 million when a sing-along edition was first released in theaters for two days. AMC Theaters, the world’s largest circuit, was the only major chain not to show the film at that time.
