Difficult to believe that it’s been 20 years
My own sense of passage time was once detailed, sequential and clearly clear in my mind. Then Covid struck, and I still have not been able to reconstruct the drawer of life and world events. So I was stunned not only that the Hurricane Katrina has overwhelmed New Orleans for 20 years, but also that we have published this play for a schoolmate of Lycée Cheryl Wagner in Katrina from Katrina. Cheryl, who wrote a book on his post-katrina experience, captured the mixture of ambivalence, aversion and avoidance that some survivors feel to remember.
