The FBI is looking for the house of John Bolton, the National Guard in Chicago? : NPR

We are discussing the latest new politicians, including the search for the FBI of the former Trump advisor, John Bolton, and if President Trump will send the troops of the National Guard to more cities.
Ayesha Rascoe, host:
There was no summer slowdown in Washington, the control of the president of DC Trump of the city’s city of Capitol is about to enter his third week, and now the president threatens to send national guard troops to other cities. This occurs when the FBI has searched the former national security advisor to President Trump, John Bolton. Tamara Keith, the main correspondent of the White House NPR, joined us to discuss all of this. Good morning.
Tamara Keith, Byline: Hello.
Rascoe: So let’s start with John Bolton. How do you see this evolution?
Keith: Yeah. He was therefore a first mandate national security advisor and has since become a vocal critic of Trump – something Trump recently complained about social networks. And one of Trump’s first acts as president was to withdraw the protection of Bolton’s secret services. It was a protection he had because Iran wants him to dead. It is therefore the context in which this search for Bolton’s house took place.
Two sources familiar with the investigation which were not authorized to speak publicly told NPR that the search for the house and the office of Bolton was linked to its management of classified documents. Friday, during an interview for “Meet the Press” of NBC, Vice-President JD Vance was specifically asked if Bolton was targeted because he is a critic of President Trump. And Vance insisted that he was not.

JD VANCE: If we bring a case – and, of course, we have not yet done it. The Ministry of Justice has not yet done this. We investigate the Bolton ambassador. But if they ultimately bring a business, it will be because they determine that he has violated the law.
Keith: And I will note, he tells us. In any other administration, you wouldn’t hear the White House Talking about a criminal case of the Ministry of Potential justice like us because it is supposed to be a separation, but that simply does not exist in the Trump administration. Vance spoke of the prosecution of the Ministry of Justice of Trump and its allies during the Biden administration. The view of Maga is which has opened the Pandora box, and now all bets are deactivated.
Rascoe: Tam, if you do it, can you just give us a little more context? Is it just about John Bolton?
Keith: Not even near. Senator Adam Schiff, who led Trump’s first dismissal, is the subject of an alleged mortgage fraud investigation. The same goes for Letitia James, the New York prosecutor who obtained a fraud condemnation against Trump when he was not in office. Other frank criticisms openly express their concern that they could be next.
During the campaign, President Trump told supporters that I am your punishment and many people had alarms. So Trump said, no, no, no, no, don’t worry. All he meant was that success would be a remuneration. It is now clear that, in fact, remuneration is a reprisals.
Rascoe: I mean, here in DC, I mean, you see troops of the National Guard patrolling the streets, but now President Trump is talking about sending troops to Chicago. This made a strong answer.
Keith: Yeah. On Friday at the Oval Office, President Trump suggested that Chicago and New York are the next one. These are the two blue cities in the blue states. The Washington Post exclusively reports that the Pentagon has developed planning documents to deploy troops in Chicago to repress undocumented crime, homelessness and immigration.
The governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, as you know, wrote on social networks, quotes: “The threat of Donald Trump to bring in” the National Guard to Chicago is not a question of security. It is a test of the limits of his power and a sequence of trials for a police state. Illinois has long worked with the federal police to fight against crime, will not let a dictator impose his will. ” Earlier this year, Trump sent troops to Los Angeles against the wishes of the Governor and the Mayor, and the question of whether he was allowed to do so is still being pleaded.
Rascoe: And I am delighted, there was a surprise on Friday during an event on the draw of the football world cup next year. President Trump held a photo that someone had sent him.
Keith: Yes, it’s true. And that someone was Russian president Vladimir Putin. Listen to how everything went.
(Soundbit of archived registration)
President Donald Trump: He was very respectful of me and our country but not so respectful of others. But he’s going to sign that for him. But I sent one, and I thought you would all like to see it. He is a man named Vladimir Putin.
Keith: What is remarkable-there was the President of the United States in the Oval Office, proudly holding a photo of himself with a Russian dictator, with a portrait of Ronald Reagan who is looming on his shoulder. This, despite no sign of progress in Trump’s quest to ensure peace in the Russian war against Ukraine. Trump said on Friday that sanctions could be back on the table and that he would be able to do more in two weeks.
Rascoe: He’s the main correspondent for the White House NPR, Tamara Keith. Thank you for joining us.
Keith: You are welcome.
