Jim Carrey and Taylor Momsen reunite 25 years after ‘The Grinch’

Taylor Momsen praised Jim Carrey after they reunited for the first time in 25 years at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday.

After reuniting with her “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” co-star, the musician said People how Carrey’s work ethic as a child actor inspired her from a young age.

“I love that he’s very protective of me,” she said. “He was always very nice. And the whole experience of filming ‘Grinch’ and getting to know him so well, even in all the makeup, was just wonderful.”

She continued: “As a young person, watching an artist at work and taking his craft very seriously, it left a very powerful and lasting impact on me as an adult now. And I’m thrilled to be able to say that to him as an adult.”

As they posed together on the red carpet, Carrey told reporters, “We haven’t seen each other since ‘The Grinch.'”

Momsen went on to say “Yeah, it’s been 25 years. It’s insane.”

Momsen was five years old when she played the role of Cindy-Lou Who. She starred alongside Carrey, who played the titular, grumpy Dr. Seuss character who hated Christmas.

Beyond “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” Momsen’s biggest acting role was as Jenny Humphry on “Gossip Girl.” His other acting credits also include “Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams”, “Underdog” and “Paranoid Park”.

In 2010, the actress gave up acting to focus on her music career as the lead singer of the rock band “Pretty Reckless”.
