The drivers warned text messages from the “final notice” scam

Philadelphia (WPVI) – The officials warn against an SMS scam that targets drivers throughout the region, including those of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Messages, which may contain sentences such as “final opinion” or “final reminder”, say that the recipient has an in progress traffic note, and if payment is not made soon, the recipient’s driving privileges will be suspended.

He continues to threaten additional sanctions, including prosecution.

The authorities say that the message is a scam and you should not click on the links associated with the message or provide personal information.

Penndot and the New Jersey MVC say they do not send not asked for the status of a driver or other problems.

You can report the scam texts to the Federal Trade American Commission and / or to the Center of Crime on the Internet of the FBI.
