The drama on Alzheimer’s disease will be presented at first in Tallinn

Josse Depauw (The Dark Midi Passion,, Koursk) and Peter van den Begin (Belgian king,, The barefoot emperor And Worship) embody the Horst and Franz brothers, who find themselves after years of separation.
Horst suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, while Franz is indebted and considers the unspected inheritance of his brother as the solution to his financial problems.
When Andrea, the ancient love of Horst, played by Kristien de Proost (Girl), old wounds and a buried family mystery resurfaces, forcing them to confront their past. Franck Lammers (Secret) Also appears in the cast as a doctor.
Steppe remained faithful to its documentary roots in the development of the film, drawing inspiration from its work as a volunteer caregiver in a residential care center specializing in the management of people with Alzheimer’s disease.
“I wanted to understand the aspects of the disease to be able to write on this subject. The role of Horst is only based on countless conversations that I had with a particular man. For reasons of confidentiality, I will call him” Eddy “”, she explains.
“Eddy taught me a lot about the disease, thanks to my direct experience. People living with Alzheimer’s disease are far from empty shells. Many remain perfectly aware of the deterioration of their capacities. What makes them feel better is to be able to talk about what they see and feel without us correcting them all the time.”
