The dodgers acquire the Red Sox Zach Penrod

The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired the Gaucher Zach Penrod from the Boston Red Sox for cash considerations and moved right -handed Roki Sasaki to the 60 -day injured list.

Penrod, 28, has only seven experienced games in the major league, all with the Red Sox in relief last season. He had a 2.25 MPM in four rounds.

Sasaki, 23, has not launched since entering the injured list on May 13 with a shoulder. It is 1-1 with an MPM of 4.72 during its recruited season with the Dodgers.

After Boston exchanged Rafael to the Giants of San Francisco last week, while acquiring the right -hander Jordan Hicks and the Gaucher Kyle Harrison, Penrod was appointed for assignment to open a place on the list of 40 men.

In six outings (two starts) with Triple-A Worcester this season, Penrod was 0-1 with an MPM of 5.68. He also had an aimless round with the Florida Complex League Club des Red Sox.

Penrod, who was not drafted, signed as a free agent with the Texas Rangers in 2018 in the northwest of Nazarene in Nampa, in Idaho, and knew two seasons in the independent Pioneer League before signing with the Red Sox in 2023.
