Richard StermerOne of the longest employees of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, is retired, The Hollywood Reporter learned.
For members based in Los Angeles of the Academy, this is very great news. For what? Because Stermer, since 1994, has been an element of the Samuel Goldwyn theater at 1000 places in the headquarters of the Beverly Hills Academy – initially as Deputy Theater Director, then as theater director and, since January, as senior theater director – presiding over everything that was organized by the studios that praised the Academy.
The sympathetic and unpretentious stermer, who is also an actor, songwriter, composer and vocal artist, was also covered, on occasion, to make voice declarations during academic events, in particular the candidates for the above-mentioned Oscars, which attract hundreds of press and federating publicists, as well as nominees to the Oscars, hundreds of sci-tech programs and others.
The predecessor of Stermer as the theater director of the Academy, under which he initially served, was Robert RigamontiDied suddenly in 2013, how much stermer was promoted.
RIC Robertsonwho was the executive administrator of the academy from 1989 to 2011 and COO from 2011 to 2013, says THR“Richard is incredible. He is an excellent manager, well organized, and always above things. I was going to projections and looked at him, before the film, go up and down the alleys of Goldwyn greeting people and asking them about their children or the grandchildren. I am always welcome. It was really remarkable.”
Stermer, in a characteristic eraser decision, refused to comment on this piece.
