‘The Daily Show’ Roasts Trump With Nap Montage on a Yule Log

“The Daily Show” roasted Donald Trump on Christmas Eve with a Yule log montage showing the president falling asleep during press briefings and the White House.

“Who the hell sleeps in front of the paparazzi, the media?” asks an old Trump soundbite in the 10-minute Comedy Central video, released Wednesday.

“How do you sleep in front of the media?” he continues while the classic Christmas song “Silent Night” plays in the background. “And he’s cold, you see the dribble going down the side of his cheek.”

“Who the hell wants to sleep with these people watching us? I could never fall asleep under these circumstances? You’ll never see me sleeping in front of cameras,” Trump continued, proving him wrong.

The clip, subtitled “Merry Christmas to everyone and to Donald Trump, good night”, repeats the same jokes for 10 minutes and 12 seconds.

Trump and his naps have been easy gags for media personalities over the past year. In April 2024, “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert joked that Trump took a “white power nap” while in court ahead of his “hush money” criminal trial.
