The D-Backs put an end to 4 games with a late rally against the giants

Alek Thomas had three strokes and scored twice, including the Go-Ahead race on a single from Geraldo Perdomo in seventh round, and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Giants of San Francisco 4-2 during the opening of a series of four games on Monday in Phoenix.
After a double of two points from Tyler Fitzgerald attracted the giants even at 2-2 at the top of the seventh, the Diamondbacks pushed through the possible manufacturer of difference at the bottom of the Channel against the AS of San Francisco Logan Webb. Thomas and Jose Herrera struck consecutive singles in simple before the Perdomo blpper over the head of the Willy Adames stop.
The giants appeared once again to equalize the scoring in the eighth when Christian Koss launched a high journey up from the fence of the left field. Diamondbacks’ left field player Tim Tawa made a jump effort and reached the top of the fence while a fan stretched a glove to the blow. The ball has passed over the Tawa glove and in the fan glove.
The referees initially led the interference of the fans and described it as a second round, but a rereading review showed that there was no contact between the gloves and the Tawa path to the ball was not hampered. However, it was also judged that the ball would not have erased the fence without interference, and Koss only received the second goal.
The John Curtiss diamond lift then withdrew Rafael Devers – its fourth consecutive fourth on a night of 0 for 4 – and Shelby Miller came to Fan Heliot Ramos for Stand Koss and allow Arizona to keep its advance at once.
Eugenio Suarez led the bottom of the eighth with his 26th season circuit, giving Miller an additional cushion series for the ninth. The veteran then removed the team in order to his 10th judgment, ending the sequence of four defeats of Arizona.
The Diamondbacks marked the first round of the match on an error of launch by the receiver of the Giants Patrick Bailey on a coup de sacrifice Herrera in the third, marking Thomas, who had doubled. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. struck a solo circuit, his 11th, off webb in the sixth.
Curtiss (1-0) obtained two withdrawals and was credited with the victory after Ryne Nelson held the giants at two points and five strokes in 6 2/3 rounds. Nelson withdrew seven strokes without making a walk.
Webb (7-6) was accused of three points in seven strokes in 6 1/3 sleeves. He walked one and has extinguished seven.
Fitzgerald raised two doubles and Dominic Smith had a double and a simple for the Giants, who lost for the sixth time in their last seven games.
