The crisis of the season of Mookie Betts continued for the Dodgers: “ You are lost so much ”

Los Angeles – By trying to pass the worst offensive section of his career, Mookie Betts returned home. Those who know the star of Los Angeles Dodgers understand that more work is the usual remedy of the most precious player for even the difficulties perceived.
It was the same man who swung last October until his hands were raw, then swung. Doing it in an establishment near his home in Nashville, tenn., Rather than in the bowels of the Dodger stadium has at least provided a different scene with monotonous work which accompanied what has dragged long enough to be considered more than a simple massive collapse.
Betts therefore continued to swing in an installation in Nashville. The impulse returned home and saw her family. The new place probably did not hurt, to move away from a miserable departure which lasted for months. When Betts woke up on Friday to start the second half of the season, he had a .696 OPS, the worst brand of his career. His frustrations come from an obvious place: Dodgers need Betts to start.
This has marked the first time since the first full season of Betts in 2015 that he arrived at the Break All-Star Healthy and did not obtain an invitation to the game itself. As long as his defense was a pleasant surprise in his unprecedented move at the Copstrame at 32, his bat has dropped. For months, Betts and the Dodgers denied a correlation between the two.
Betts was less conclusive on Friday. “I don’t know,” he said. This is a questionable point, the dodgers are unlikely to leave Betts of the position of soon.
His difficulties continued on Friday against Milwaukee Brewers, when he became without blow in four at-bats. He continued badly in a quinn knife prayed well on the plate to end his first at-bat. He chased again in his next stick, hitting a breaking ball in dirt for an outing. When the Dodgers obtained their second runner in a notation position against Priestter, Betts worked a complete count before waving a cutter above the area.
The loss of 2-0 of the dodgers ended with Betts on the plate, swinging on a curve of joint under the area and ending gently short. A solution does not come overnight.
“You lose yourself so much,” said Betts. “Once you have descended a rabbit burrow – not a rabbit burrow as if I was chasing something – but once you have come down so far, it’s so high that you don’t even care. Obviously, yes, I want to play better. But where I was and where I am now, it’s so different from night.”
Fixing the Betts bat is not as simple as going up on the right field, where it has become one of the best players in the sport. Ditto for the second goal, which was the original inner field landing point of Betts when the dodgers approached the full trip for the first time in the inner field in 2024. It was not as simple as Betts by finding the 20 pounds it lost due to a gastric embarrassed virus which it contracted shortly before the opening day. He regained his weight and then a few in a few weeks. His bat has still not recovered.
“I never did this,” said Betts after hitting a series of stick practices on the ground. More bullets were waiting for him in the stick cage. “It’s new. I have never been so bad for so long. ”
Since the beginning of June, Mookie Betts has had an .627 ops with only 11 additional strokes. “It’s very difficult,” he said. (Neville E. Guard / Imagn Images)
Betts is withdrawn less often than ever. But this contact did not translate like Betts is used. Its power numbers are considerably decreasing. His average had dropped to .244 when he climbed his flight to Nashville. Perhaps looking for results, he came out more from the striking area than in any time in his career. The Dodgers wanted Betts to play the stop stop because his bat could make the position sing on the most precious field of the game. Instead, Betts produced at an average level of the League of the League by WRC + (96).
Managing a swing is an apparently impossible task. But the frame of Betts and the mechanics of its swing make maintenance even more difficult. Given his size, he relies more on each part of his swing working in concert so that any click. When he is right, few players can better adapt to a mid-voltage, his hands helping the barrel of his bat in Carré the baseball balls like a few others.
Part of Betts’ problems this season has been consistent, said Dodgers coach Robert Van Sccyoc. Little know Betts’ swing better. This season, the stop stop has had trouble pinning a mobile target with the way in which his hands are taking care of in his swing. Consequently, all the tiny parts that allow its swing to operate have also been a little extinct. In a clip for his work in Nashville this week, Betts has swung a bat with what seemed to be a medicine ball resting between his elbows. The goal was to keep the ball pinned between his elbows when he loaded and finished the swing.
“When it’s true, he is one of the best sporting strikers,” said Van Scyoc. “It is a thought, a signal, an exercise to be a first striker in sport.”
“He hasn’t really taken it before being hot,” said Roberts before the stars break. “But it happens.”
Things are not trendy. Since the beginning of June, Betts has had an .627 ops with only 11 additional strokes. Betts, said Betts, is new. He is in his second consecutive month with an OPS less than 0.700 – before that, he had only had five months of this type in his career. Its overall line has fallen far enough for Betts to no time even spend what the exit of this looks like. It is a bat that the dodgers have largely survived, heading for the best record of the National League, even with Betts. But as shown last October, Betts production is as important as anyone in this range.
The dodgers remained firm with Betts, keeping it in the second place in order everywhere. Except for a “mental day” that manager Dave Roberts gave Betts this month and a series he missed with a fractured Pinkie toe, Betts remained the daily life.
It continued on Friday because Betts again crossed a series of swings trying to find something. Friday afternoon, Betts said, his swing feels good. As he said, he immediately warned: he felt very much this year. It did not improve the real swing.
Thus, Betts continued to swing. If there is one thing they cannot criticize, it is Betts’ work.
“It’s very difficult,” said Betts. “I didn’t understand it. So, obviously, it’s super difficult. But I’m going to tell you one thing: I really like the process. I really love the process of trying to understand who I am, where I am, work. I have not found it, and it sucks. But you see it.
