The former assistant coach of the India national cricket team, Abhishek Nayar, who was recently dismissed halfway through the BCCI, made a massive revelation involving Shreyas Iyer.

Many experts estimated that Iyer was a certainty in India playing the XI for the Asian Cup 2025 due to its recent shape with the bat.
However, the BCCI selection committee did not keep it in the 15 men’s team for the marquee tournament, and it was not appointed in the standbys either.
This development left the former assistant coach of India, Abhishek Nayar, absolutely surprised and he wanted personally to ask Ajit Agarkar the reason for Iyer’s SNUB.
“I wanted to ask him (Agarkar) how he (Iyer) is not among reserve players, if he is such a strong competitor? Sometimes, the selection meetings and the discussions that occur can be very interesting, but I cannot understand, I cannot understand,” said Nayar, speaking on Star Sports.

Abhishek Nayar also declared that the BCCI had sent a message to Iyer by not even naming him in the reserves and said that the striker was not appreciated by the decision -makers.
