“It is with a deeply heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron,” said a family representative in a press release. “He died in his sleep due to a crisis which was the result of an in progress medical condition for which he was treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but its mind will live through the kindness and compassion of all those who knew and loved it.
“We have a broken heart and we ask for intimacy during this extremely difficult period while we mourn the loss of our precious son and brother,” they added.
The Boyce family launched the Cameron Boyce Foundation in its honor, aimed at curing epilepsy by funding research, education and awareness campaigns.
