The co-founder of Bonnaroo and concert promoter was 51 years old

Jonathan Mayers, a concert promoter who co -founded the Bonnaroo music festivals and helped create external land as director of Superfly Entertainment, died at the age of 51. The cause of death is still unknown.
The news comes as the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival should start on June 12 with the headliner Luke Combs. The three -day musical rally continues until June 15.
The New York native founded superfly present as a marketing and event company in 1996 with the partners Kerry Black, Rick Farman and Richard Goodstone, co-creation of events such as the Festival of Lands music and external arts with another planet Entertainment and Bonnaroo, held in 700 acres agriculture, Tennessee since 2002.

Superfly launched the Vegoose Festival in Las Vegas in 2005, then joined another planet to launch external land in the legendary Golden Gate Park of San Francisco. In 2017, Mayers joined forces with Viacom and Comedy Central to produce a double comedy festival Clusterfest, which included Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer, Jon Stewart and Trevor Noah.

Mayers left superfly in August 2021 and continued his ex-partner at the beginning of 2022, accusing them of contract violation and fraud for having underestimated the value of his property in the company. The trial was rejected in January 2023.
Since her departure from Superfly, Mayers has worked on Core City Detroit, a project that has sought funds to invest in the city center, creating a musical campus with entertainment experiences for the public.
