Neuehouse’s members’ chain of clubs are aimed at those working in creative industries will close on Friday. The company confirmed the decision with a long message published on its website.
The owners of Neuehouse quoted the “inherited liabilities” as the reason why the company could not continue.
“Although Neuehouse has created an extremely precious company which is appreciated by the members and hosts of the event, unfortunately, it was overwhelmed by inherited passives”, according to a press release assigned to the Neuehouse Council. “Despite our best efforts to find a lasting path – including the exploration of all possible solutions to meet these challenges – we have made the decision very difficult to finish the company and close Neuehouse. Our last operating day will take place this Friday, September 5. ”
The news of the rapid closure surprised many initiates of the industry. Neuehouse’s locations in Los Angeles have become staple food on the Reunion and Party circuit since the start of the company more than 10 years ago.
“For more than a decade, Neuehouse has served as a creativity, community, design and innovation center where pioneers have summoned themselves to push the limits and discover new ideas. Our mission has always been to provide space for creators, innovators and opinion leaders to come together and connect. Thank you, this mission has become a reality,” said the declaration. “Although this is certainly not the result we have considered for our company, we believe that it is the most responsible path for all our stakeholders, although we deeply regret the impact of this decision on our precious employees, members and customers.”
The sudden judgment comes as another disturbing sign of important difficulties in the entertainment ecosystem, in particular in Hollywood where the economy has faced opposite winds ranging from natural disasters to work strikes.
