Cards show the way to Hurricane Kiko forecasts

While Kiko travels slowly, Hawaii is becoming more and more in his line of view for potential direct impacts such as winds and precipitation from Monday. The main threats are scheduled for Tuesday, according to Nikki Nolan, meteorologist for CBS News and Stations.

On Friday, Hawaii governor Sylvia Luke said on Friday a state of emergency due to the possible bad weather posed by Kiko. “We urge residents and visitors to monitor updates, follow the official advice and prepare us accordingly,” said Luke.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu monitors the possible impacts of Kiko and anticipates strong precipitation leading to potential floods – as well as high surfs – at the beginning of next week.
