The British agency Casarotto establishes a new leadership with Jodi Shields at the chair

Independent agency of Brit Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, which represents a certain number of writers, administrators, literary properties and heads of department, had appointed Jodi Shields to the newly created role of the president with the global responsibility of the company.

Tracy Brimm, who joined the agency in 2018 as a creative business manager, will expand its role to include the position of Cinema and television chief.

The longtime head of Casarotto, Jenne Casarotto, died in March 2014 at the age of 77 after a short illness. The director general of the agency Anna Higgs left the company four months later after only a year.

Shields is a triple veteran of the company based in London, after having supervised its cinematographic and television activity. As president, she will serve as a strategic leader, working in close collaboration with the COO Ian Devlin, head of the Mel Kenyon theater, the board of directors, the heads of department and the advisory council. Casarotto said that the role aims to shape the “long -term vision of the company and guarantee that the values of the independent agency continue to grow and evolve”. Shields will continue his work as a main agent.

Shields joined Casarotto in 1998 and built an impressive career at the agency. As head of cinema and television, she supervised a large portfolio of award -winning customers from the Academy and Bafta, notably Steve McQueen, Edward Berger, Peter Straughan, Sarah Gavron, Lone Scherfig, Bart Layton, John Crowley, Nia Dacosta, Stephen Frears, Christopher Hampton, David Hare and Muriel Spark, JG Ballard and Tennessee Williams.

“Regarding the intrepid leadership of our beloved company, I had the opportunity to learn best from Jenne Casarotto. I can’t wait to channel his indomitable mind to make sure that Casarotto continues to stay at the forefront of world creative production in London, connecting tales, producers and media companies around the world, as we have done for the last 36 years, “said Shields. “I greatly appreciated my eight years as head of cinema and television, and I have no doubt that Tracy will address the role with his signature energy, his expertise and his clarity of vision. Casarotto remains proudly independent, collaborative and devoted to feed a wide range of talents with individual advice and personal touch, while refusing our championship and taking into account us.

In the newly extended role of the head of cinema and television, Brimm will supervise the management and operations of the Cinema and television department while continuing to direct creative affairs, cultivate key industry relationships and facilitate strategic links between agency customers, creative partners and tailor -made equipment.

“I am delighted to play this extended role and to help direct our ambitious and dedicated team that really embodies collaborative excellence,” she said. “Together, we are deeply committed to supporting and delivering the ambitions of our customers. I can’t wait to make sure that we continue to innovate and adapt – always for our customers and bring their stories to the screen, while relying on the impressive inheritance of the company to shape an even brighter future for our customers and for the agency. ”
