The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival canceled due to the weather

The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival was canceled due to serious weather problems.

The festival announced the news in an Instagram publication on Friday after issuing a series of weather delays and an evacuation notice earlier during the day. Thursday scored the first official day of the event at the Bonnaroo farm in Manchester, Tennessee, which was to last until Sunday, with only one of the four headliners, Luke Combs, offering a performance before the cancellation of the event.

“Today, the National Weather Service has provided us with an updated forecast with significant and regular precipitation that will produce a deterioration in camping and release conditions in the coming days,” wrote Bonnaroo in their position. “We are beyond empties, but we must make the safest decision and cancel the rest of Bonnaroo.”

Bonnaroo also revealed that they made reimbursements to all the admission tickets for a day, Saturday and Sunday bought via Front Gate tickets, although those who bought four -day admission tickets and camping accommodation via the ticket office will only receive a 75%reimbursement.

Alongside Combs, Tyler, the creator, Olivia Rodrigo and Hozier put themselves at the head of Bonnaroo, although these performances were canceled. Other planned artists included Vampire Weekend, Glorilla, Tyla, Raye, Avril Lavigne, Queens of the Stone Age, John Summit, Justice, Dom Dolla, Glass Animals and The Red Clay Stray.

“The first thing we need the Bonnaroo community is patience. Some of your colleagues campers are in good condition,” they added in their declaration. “The rain has set up in the areas and made certain parts of Outoo to manage. We would like to prioritize the obtaining of these people as well as those who have accessibility needs outside the farm as soon as possible this evening. ”
