Batman was fortunate to have a fairly illustrious cinematographic career. Apart from the strange critical failure as 1995 Batman forever and 1997 Batman and RobinThe Caped Crusader generally delivered films that resonated both with the general public and comics. Among this batch of projects, there are two in particular which have climbed in the upper level of cinematographic grandeur: Christopher Nolan The black knight (2008) and Matt Reeves’ Batman (2022).
The two films are venerated for their plots, their visuals and, above all, their sockets on Bruce Wayne / Batman. It is difficult to think about which one of the two adaptations could be better than the other, but that’s exactly what I want to ask the community.
The black knight Or Batman?
Between The black knight And BatmanWhich one do you think it’s the best film? Believe me, I knowIt’s difficult. Heck, I type that and I am I don’t really know my answer. But after thinking about it, I will have to go with Batman.
As surprising as it is (and believe me, it is East),, The black knight Some – certainly, minors – conspiracy inconsistencies. For example, Batman flying to a foreign country to kidnap a person would certainly not have gone well for the Caped Crusader, whatever the technology he used to try to do it. Aside from that, while Christian Bale is a great Bruce Wayne, his superhero voice has lost his glow over the years. When I hear it now, it seems a little … Well, out of words in the world of the film.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the two films, but Batman is a better experience for me. I like the representation by Robert Pattinson by Bruce Wayne, the feeling of Gotham, the intrigue and the combination. I also appreciate how, despite its anchored nature, it always looks like a comic strip film – as in, I could easily see the story being something that happened to Scott Snyder and Batman from Greg Capullo.
Admittedly, there are things that I don’t quite like in the film. For an example, I don’t like Riddler’s scene to meet the Joker, because it seemed too caricatural for a project that had been so focused on being serious and granular. A minor discomfort, but a discomfort nevertheless.
Keep in mind, however, it is not intended to denigrate a film to support this one. As mentioned, both The black knight And Batman are objectively incredible films. They both offer a high quality narration, well -developed characters and an immersive world. So, it’s just to be a fun debate for fans of Dark Knight’s cinematographic efforts. Now it’s your turn to choose your favorite.
